Adjust this receipt for more flavor. Use about a 2.5 pound or so tri tip roast. Use 16 oz fresh mushrooms quartered. Use a very large fine chopped onion, 2 T of tomato paste with 1 cup beef broth (you can add a little wine if you wish up to 1/2C). 3 T soy sauce, 3/4 t pepper, 1.5 t of paprika, 1 tsp worcestershire, 3 cloves of crushed garlic or 3 t of garlic paste. Cook 5.5 hrs. on low then add 1 C sour cream, 1 tab soy sauce, 2 t parsley, a little more pepper if you wish. Make a 2 T butter and T flour Rue, add a cup of liquid to thicken and add back into cooker. Cook another half hour. Now you have much more flavor and it is more like the real thing. Hope this is helpful.

Classic this is, it was so simple to throw in crockpot, but elegant enough to serve for company! I used a whole grain mustard because I love it. Served it over wide egg noodles, there were no left-overs!

We loved it! I used beef bone broth instead of regular broth, more flavorful and I used four cups instead of two and then just added the noodles. Less mess. Family love it.

I add 1 tablespoon of Worsteshire sauce. I also had some Tatefully Simple spinach seasoning. The dijon mustard makes this so yummy.

I will make it again but add more spices with some kick.

Easy to put together and very flavorful. Because of scheduling, I made it in the crockpot the day before I needed it, then reheated it on the stove, adding the sour cream at that point. It was great.

WOW!!!!!!

Fairly easy to make, especially when I got the meat cut at the store. But we did not care for this recipe at all.

Tasted so good, love the dijon in it...

Great recipe! Had it tonight with company who raved about it. I used baby bellas (16 oz) 1 and 3/4 lbs of round steak and added tomato paste (2 Tablespoons) and the flavor was amazing!

This was easy to make, and really good for an evening meal.

When I made this dish, the end result didn't look much like the photo, it was much creamier in appearance. I don't know if that's because I used full fat sour cream instead of low fat? Nevertheless, it tasted great and my kids loved it too. Even got them to eat some of the mushrooms (that never happens) because they loved the sauce so much.

Had ingredients for another stroganoff recipe then I saw this slow cooker one. I love anything slow cooker. I made it to the letter. So good! Husband loved it! I may add some wine next time. (Hint: let your sour cream get room temp or plan on heating it up after adding.)

Tasted good. Very easy.

This is the best crockpot version of stroganoff that I have tried. The sauce came out just the right thickness. Next time I'll make the following changes; garlic powder instead of fresh garlic, omit the dill, increase the salt to 1tsp, add 1/8tsp - 1/4tsp nutmeg.

Followed recipe except for substituting flat iron steak and omitting the dill...delicious, very tender and flavorful!

Absolutely fantastic! Felt there wasn't enough liquid, I added an additional cup of water. I added red pepper flakes, along with the pepper. Unfortunately, I didn't have any fresh pepper, mushrooms or herbs; I used canned mushrooms, dried herbs. I also used strips of deer back strap. Didn't add the mustard, but hubby said it was AWESOME, his word. Mmmmmmmmm!!

This recipe is delicious. I made it exactly as written except I had fresh dill so I used 1.5tsp of fresh dill. This is a keeper.

I loved it. My daughter said it tasted like Christmas.

Ive made this twice now. I thought I did something wrong the first time because I did not care for the flavor. It was just as unappealing the second time. Very disappointed.

very good and easy

We love this and will make it again

Very easy to make and very good.

Followed recipe exactly and it came out perfectly. Thanks for sharing this as it has now become my, "go to" recipe for Stroganoff!.

This is a very tasty dish! The meat was very tender. The dijon mustard and dill really added nice flavor that is not typical of other stroganoff recipes I have tried. This one is a keeper!!

I would definitely make it again. I used a little less dill, just because I was unsure about it. That's the only change that I made.

Excellent recipe. This has become one of my tailgating favorites. Make it every year for at least one game.

I doubled the recipe. The only addition is that instead of twice the sour cream, I used 8oz Sc and 8oz Philly. Otherwise, followed the recipe exactly. Delicious! Over rice or noodles, it's fantastic.

Delicious! Omitted the garlic and dill. No need for extra liquid as there was plenty, but I might add extra mushrooms next time. I mixed the flour and beef directly in the crockpot. Will definitely be making again.

Flavor was good, but very watery. Next time I will omit the beef broth.
